Computer-Based Testing:
- Placement tests in 2025 will be conducted on computers over multiple days (Friday-Sunday) in external test centers.
- Test dates for 2025 are May 2-4, with a make-up test on May 19.
- Tests will still have the same structure: Selective High School Test (4 sections) and Opportunity Class Test (3 sections).
- Janison Solutions will manage test delivery in partnership with Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
Extended Application Period:
- Applications for 2026 entry will be open from November 7, 2024, to February 21, 2025.
- No late applications due to the extended period and logistical needs.
New Application Timeline by School Year:
- For Opportunity Class: Apply when child is in Year 3, or by end of Week 4, Term 1 of Year 4.
- For Selective High School: Apply when child is in Year 5, and up to Week 4, Term 1 of Year 6.
Improved User Experience:
- Computer-based testing is designed to be more engaging and accessible.
- Parents can choose the test date within the test period.
- Results and placement offers will be released earlier (Term 3, 2025).
Preparation Resources:
- Computer-based practice tests will be available before applications open.
- Additional resources will be published throughout 2024 for test preparation.
